RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 2026

Designed and built by Leaf Creative Gardens for Blue Diamond Garden Centres, the RHS Chelsea 2026 garden was conceived as an immersive, experiential space that invited visitors to move through a series of richly planted environments. Building on the success of the previous year, the garden explored how contemporary planting can respond to the way we live and garden today.

Set within the Great Pavilion, the design unfolded as a walk-through journey, guiding visitors along gently curated pathways and through contrasting atmospheres. Each area was carefully composed to feel natural and intuitive, bringing together drought-tolerant planting, tropical houseplants, edible planting and contemporary cottage-style displays in a layered and seamless composition.

The garden placed emphasis on plants as part of everyday life — combining beauty with practicality, and addressing themes such as sustainability, resilience and small-space growing. Planting was used to shape space and create moments of pause and discovery, encouraging visitors to engage more closely with both the detail and the wider landscape.

A series of distinct but connected zones gave structure to the experience, from dry garden planting through to more immersive, enclosed spaces, culminating in a central feature that added a sense of theatre and movement. The result was a garden that felt generous, contemporary and grounded in plantsmanship.

Constructed by Peter Dowle and the Leaf Creative Gardens team, the project demonstrated the studio’s continued involvement at RHS Chelsea, delivering large-scale show gardens that combine horticultural depth with a strong lifestyle-led narrative.

The garden was awarded a Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, recognising both the strength of the design and the quality of the planting.
